As soon as Jo’s enquiry landed in my inbox, I’ve been so excited to photograph their wedding. This is the smallest wedding I have ever photographed, and could ever photograph. Jo and Jamie plus two registrars, with hotel staff and me as witnesses! Having both held big weddings for their previous first marriages, their second marriage was to be all about them. They decided upon the gorgeous Barnsley House in the Cotswolds for their wedding, and held an intimate civil ceremony in the grounds of the house.
I got to hang out with the very excited Jo & Jamie separately as each went off to chat with the registrars, before they then walked down the tree-lined “aisle” together. Their late afternoon ceremony in the temple lasted all of eight minutes to be precise, and was filled with sunshine, love and laughter all the way through. Armed with their glasses of champagne, I then had the opportunity to have a stroll around the grounds of Barnsley House with the new Mr & Mrs Cambridge and take some portraits to mark the occasion, before they headed off to the restaurant for a romantic dinner for two. Thank you Jo & Jamie for allowing me to be a part of your lovely wedding, for being so welcoming and fun to be around. It was a real honour x
