Wishing Roberta and Simon a very Happy Anniversary! I had the pleasure of photographing their wedding one year ago today, on a hot April day, what a difference from today’s weather! Lots of love to you both xxx

I’m really thrilled to be featured in the latest May/June 2012 issue of You & Your Wedding Magazine with my photographs of Jennie & James’ gorgeous wedding, a day filled with fun, colour, salsa dancing, tequila and lots of Italians! Head over to the original post to view Jennie & James’ wedding in full.

Jennie and James held a fantastically colourful London wedding with an Italian twist. Jennie’s family are Italian, and the DeStefanis family flew in from Italy to inject a little fun into the wedding proceedings! Jennie is one of the happiest, most smiling brides I think I’ve ever photographed. She said that her cheeks ached by the end of the night, and I think we can all see why! I had some serious shoe envy with Jennie’s amazing shoes, and James looked effortlessly cool too, arranging secretly to have a suit made to ensure he held up his end in the style stakes.
Their wedding ceremony was held in an Italian church in Clerkenwell, which provided such a beautiful backdrop. The minister that conducted the service is hands down, the best and nicest priest I have ever met, and I went to a Catholic primary school. The ceremony was fun, entertaining and engaging, and he often asked the congregation to cheer if he felt they weren’t being happy enough! I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so much in what is normally quite a quiet wedding ceremony!
After the service we all piled onto two London buses to travel to the reception, showing the Italian relatives the sights of London along the way. After a heartfelt moment toasting to James’ late father, the party got into full swing, with an amazing Gypsy Kings tribute band which ensured everyone, even Jennie’s elderly Italian grandmother, were throwing some moves on the dancefloor.
Jennie and James, you were such fun to photograph, and I hope the photographs capture even half of the fun atmosphere that was your wedding day x
